Rosewood Santos Flexible Veneer

Santos rosewood is a beautiful wood from the Machaerium species, it has stepped in as a substitute for the traditional rosewoods (Dalbergia) when that species became endangered and CITES protected. Colour can be highly varied, ranging from reddish/orange to a dark violet/brown, usually with contrasting darker black streaks. Narrow sapwood is a pale yellow and is clearly demarcated from the heartwood.
